Celebrating Josef Frank

We are celebrating this fantastic Swedish Designer 125th birthday! Frank is a designer well known for his colourful,  vibrant textiles and beautifully crafted furniture.

Producing over 200 patterns between 1909 and 1950 , they were a fresh contrast to the linear , grid like restrictions that derfined modernism.

His patterns to this day are timeless and have influenced many of todays textile designers!

Anyone seent he film Mama Mia? Have a look at Meryl Streeps washing line! All Josef Frank fabrics..and that’s not all…this film  (maybe because Sweden is Abba’s homeland) is chock-a-block full of Josef Franks Fabrics!
